PEACE

In the face of injustice, how do we go on?

In the face of violence, how do we live lives that make a difference?

In the face of climate collapse, how do we hold onto hope?

The world is broken. You want to wail with the insanity of it all. It’s exhausting and overwhelming.

You fiercely want to protect those you love but they push you away. You long for peace but you still snap at your partner. You pour your energy into trying to save the world but neglect your own body.

You can’t go on any more with things how they are.

Why do people hurt each other? Why are children being bombed? How does one person manage to derail the project? How to escape from the flood of bad news, and how to deal with the guilt of not looking? How to hold this much grief?

Nonviolent Communication is a powerful framework, a philosophy and a set of practical tools for aligning our behaviour and communication with our core values. That means that what we do matches what we say and believe in. It gives us a way forward, together.

Relationships are everything. Whole humans are both strong and vulnerable. We have more in common with each other than differences.

All human behaviour is an attempt to meet valid, core needs – even violence and hard to understand behaviours. The underlying need is valid even if the behaviour is harmful. Learning to see the needs underneath the behaviours gives us a whole new way of seeing ourselves and others. A kinder way of seeing the world. Our world needs more kindness.

What Does NVC Do?

  • Increase your capacity to stay present.

  • Lean into conflict.

  • De-escalate violence.

  • More effective conversations.

  • Less resentment and drama.

  • Stay connected more and reconnect faster after conflict.

  • Soften attachment to your painful story.

  • Transform judgement and enemy image.

  • Unlock clarity & calm.
